Everyone’s brain works a little differently but if you’re neurodivergent, the way you experience, process and respond to the world can feel especially unique. You may have been told you're “too much”, “too sensitive”, “too scattered”, or “too intense” when in reality, your brain is simply wired differently.

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) aren’t flaws, they’re natural variations in how people think, feel and engage with the world. Still, navigating life in a world that often isn’t built for neurodivergent minds can be exhausting, confusing or isolating.

Common Experiences of ADHD and Autism

ADHD may include:
  • Trouble focusing or sitting still

  • Being easily distracted or overwhelmed

  • Racing thoughts, impulsivity or difficulty finishing tasks

  • Feeling disorganised or scattered, even when you're trying hard

  • Strong emotions that shift quickly

  • Struggles with time management or motivation

Autism may include:
  • Sensory sensitivities (light, sound, texture, etc.)

  • Feeling out of sync in social situations

  • Needing structure, routine or predictability

  • Deep focus on specific interests

  • Difficulty with transitions or change

  • Feeling misunderstood or “different” most of your life

Everyone’s experience of ADHD or autism is different. Some people are diagnosed early; others don’t discover they’re neurodivergent until adulthood.
