Therapy for Student Counsellors

Training to become a counsellor is a deeply rewarding journey but it’s not an easy one. You’re not only learning new skills but also being asked to look inward, challenge your assumptions and reflect on your own story. It can bring up a lot personally, emotionally and relationally.

Therapy is a vital part of the training process for good reason. It gives you space to explore your own material safely and honestly, so you can show up more fully for the clients you’ll one day work with.

As someone who has gone through the process myself, I understand the pressure, vulnerability and sometimes imposter syndrome that can come with it. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, struggling with self-doubt or just needing a space to process what’s coming up in your course and placements I’m here to support you.

How Therapy Can Help

I offer a non-judgmental, confidential space where you can bring your whole self, your doubts, your insights, your fears and your growth. Our work together can support your development not just as a future therapist but as a whole person.

As an integrative therapist, I tailor our sessions to suit you. That may include exploring past experiences, looking at emotional and cognitive patterns, building confidence or just having space to breathe and reflect. You set the pace.

If you're a student counsellor looking for a therapist who understands the unique challenges of the training process, you're very welcome to get in touch.
