While technology has improved our lives in numerous ways, it also brings challenges such as technology related addictions. Addictions to technologies such as the internet, social media, smartphones and gaming have become increasingly common over recent decades. Therapy can be an effective treatment for technology related addictions.

Technology addiction is characterised by compulsive use of technology, such as digital devices and platforms, that the user feels is causing negative outcomes and effects. Often the user has tried to stop or control usage but cannot.

Compulsive playing of video games which can disrupt daily routines, relationships, and mental and physical health.

An inability to disconnect from smartphones, resulting in constant checking and use.

Pornography Addiction

Compulsive and excessive consumption of pornography, leading to negative impacts on one's personal and professional life.
